Eisvogel Freiburg has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive loses. The win is especially important as they edged much higher ranked Rhein Main Baskets (1-3)on the road game in Langen 69-67 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 28-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Eisvogel Freiburg made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. New Caledonian forward Soana Lucet (186-87, college: Arizona) fired 16 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American guard Bobbi Knudsen (173, college: Mont.St. Billings) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Jazmine Redmon (175, college: Gonzaga) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Svenja Greunke (188-89) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Eisvogel Freiburg left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with Oberhausen and Rhein MB. It was Rhein Main Baskets' third loss in a row. Eisvogel Freiburg will meet at home higher ranked BC Pharmaserv Marburg (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rhein Main Baskets will play against the league's leader Herner TC having rather not much hope for a victory.
