Regular Season Round 4: Finke Baskets - Baunach 87-69

The biggest surprise took place in Paderborn where host Finke Baskets (3-1) beat Baunach (3-1) 87-69 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Baunach. American guard Thomas Bropleh (196, college: Boise St.) fired 30 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Canadian point guard Ty Nurse (185-90, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 17 points. Five Finke Baskets players scored in double figures. American guard Marcos Knight (188-89, college: Middle Tenn.St.) produced 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Anthony Lee-Ingram (195-88, college: Brescia, KY) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Finke Baskets moved-up to third place, which they share with Baunach and Hamburg. Baunach will play next round against Cuxhaven BasCats trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Finke Baskets will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Nuernberg in Nurnberg.
