But Usak was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Istanbul 71-66 on Saturday night. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Usak won fourth quarter 29-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Istanbul BSB had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. American power forward Alex Stepheson (208-87, college: USC) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-Bosnian guard Zack Wright (191-85, college: Central Mo.) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. American forward Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St., agency: David Lee services) responded with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks and his fellow American import point guard Chris Warren (178-88, college: Mississippi) scored 10 points and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Istanbul BSB will meet at home Banvit BK in the next round. Usak will play against TED Kolejliler in Ankara and hope to win that game.
