Regular Season Round 6: Perlas-MRU - Nafta-Uni. 90-82

An interesting game for Perlas-MRU (5-1) which hosted in Vilnius 4th ranked Nafta-Uni. (3-3). Second ranked Perlas-MRU managed to get a 8-point victory 90-82. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Nafta-Uni. won third quarter 23-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Perlas-MRU looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for guard Dominykas Domarkas (188-92) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Antanas Udras (203-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Perlas-MRU's coach Mindaugas Sakalauskas used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Julius Kazakauskas (197-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Mindaugas Stasys (180-86) added 21 points in the effort for Nafta-Uni.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Perlas-MRU have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Petrochema and Ezerunas-Karys. Nafta-Uni. at the other side dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Perlas-MRU is looking forward to face Rasai (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Nafta-Uni. will play against Zanavykas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
