Marijampoles Suduva-Mantinga are the 2025-26 URBO-NKL champions, rallying from a 10-point second-quarter deficit to beat Klaipedos Neptunas-Akvaservis 76-68 in a gripping Game 5 at home and take the best-of-five final series 3-2. It is Suduva-Mantinga's fifth NKL title overall and first earned through a completed playoff since 2019. The club was declared champions in 2020 when COVID-19 cancelled the postseason with Marijampole atop the standings. Finals MVP Tautvydas Kliucinykas (190-PG-1995) was the architect, finishing with 12 points, a game-high 12 assists, and zero turnovers in 32 minutes for 20 efficiency but it was Domantas Vilys (188-G-2000) who delivered the knockout blow. With the score knotted at 68-68 and under a minute remaining, Domantas Vilys buried a deep three-pointer to make it 74-68 and leave Neptunas just 32 seconds to respond. They couldn't. The visitors started stronger, with Juozas Virkutis (203-F-2006) and Eimantas Zilius (200-F/C-1999, agency: Bell Basketball) powering a 9-0 run that gave Neptunas a 16-11 first-quarter lead. The port city side extended their advantage to 10 points at 29-19 midway through the second period. But Suduva-Mantinga closed the half on a run to trail just 32-37 at the break. The third quarter transformed the game. Coach Marius Uso's side opened with an 8-0 burst capped by a Domantas Vilys triple to grab the lead at 40-37, then outscored Neptunas 24-14 in the period to lead 56-51 entering the fourth. The final 10 minutes were a war of nerves Matas Macijauskas (210-C-2002)' basket gave Neptunas a 66-65 lead with 4:30 remaining before Domantas Vilys and Kliucinykas combined to close the game on an 11-2 run. Domantas Vilys finished with a game-high 18 points (5-of-16 from three) in 23 minutes, while Ernestas Sederevicius (195-SF-1998) added 14 with four steals. Suduva-Mantinga played the entire series without injured leader Aurelijus Pukelis (205-PF-1994). For Neptunas, appearing in their first NKL final since winning the 2018 title, Zilius matched Domantas Vilys with 18 points on ultra-efficient 5-of-8 shooting and a perfect 6-of-6 from the line, adding six rebounds.  The standout power forward Aurelijus Pukelis was voted the Player of the Year of the championship-winning champion team Suduva-Mantinga Marijampole.
He received multiple other awards, was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year, Domestic Player of the Year, Forward of the Year, and was chosen to the First Team and Domestic Players Team.
With Pukelis' excellent performance, the champion team Suduva-Mantinga Marijampole achieved the best record of the season in the league, finishing with an impressive 28 to 4 in the regular season.
Pukelis' excellent performance assisted his team in beating Neptunas Akvaservis Klaipeda 3 to 2 in the final series.
He was previously named to the Second Team back in 2016 and 2017, Honorable Mention three times in the past, Player of the Year and 2023, Center of the Year back in 2021, First Team back in 2021 and 2023 and Forward of the Year back in 2023.
