Regular Season Round 7: ETB Wohnbau - s.Oliver Baskets 63-77

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Essen. Leader s Oliver Baskets faced their biggest opponent ETB Wohnbau. Guests from Wuerzburg (7-0) defeated host ETB Wohnbau (5-2) 77-63. s Oliver Baskets made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. ETB Wohnbau was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of center Darren Fenn (208-80, college: Canisius, agency: LUMANI 10.7) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. point guard Carlos Medlock (183-87, college: E.Michigan) contributed with 22 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four s Oliver Baskets players scored in double figures. Forward Devin White (203-88, college: SUNO) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Chris Alexander (186-83, college: Southern) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for ETB Wohnbau. ETB Wohnbau's coach Igor Krizanovic tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. s Oliver Baskets have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. ETB Wohnbau at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with Jena and Hamburg. s Oliver Baskets will play against MLP Academics Heidelberg (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. ETB Wohnbau will play against Hamburg (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
