A very interesting game took place in Vechta. It ended with only one-point home defeat of higher ranked SC Rasta Vechta (4-6) to fifteenth ranked Cuxhaven BasCats (2-8) 74-73 on Saturday evening. American guard Aaron Cook (186-83, college: Hartford) notched 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and power forward Helge Baues (205-94, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Even 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by American forward Vincent Bailey (196-91, college: Lincoln Memorial) did not help to save the game for SC Rasta Vechta. His fellow American import guard Chase Griffin (188-83, college: Pepperdine) added 12 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SC Rasta Vechta's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cuxhaven BasCats moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Bayer Giants. SC Rasta Vechta at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost.
