Regular Season Round 8: Braunschweig - Seawolves 70-95

Date: November 15, 2014
Another interesting game for Rostock EBC (7-2) which played in Braunschweig against second-ranked DRUFF! (6-3). Third ranked Rostock EBC crushed hosts 95-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of DRUFF!. It was a key game for the top position in Group North. Rostock EBC made 25-of-27 charity shots (92.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 DRUFF! turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of DR Congolese-Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Tim Vogt (181-90) who added 17 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Rostock EBC players scored in double figures. Center Maurice Pluskota (208-92) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Robin Amaize (188-94) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rostock EBC keeps a position of Group North leader, which they share with Rist Wedel. DRUFF! at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Itzehoe. Rostock EBC will play against USC Leipzig (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. DRUFF! will play against Itzehoe and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
