Regular Season Round 9: Darussafaka - Tofas 88-61
Date: December 6, 2014
The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Darussafaka as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Fenerbahce Ulker) loss. Darussafaka smashed 11th ranked Tofas in Istanbul 88-61. The game was mostly controlled by Darussafaka. Tofas was better in fourth quarter 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Darussafaka players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American-Lithuanian forward John Shurna (204-90, college: Northwestern, agency: Priority Sports) stepped up and scored 19 points for the winners and American forward Taylor Brown (198-89, college: Bradley, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American point guard DaShaun Wood (185-85, college: Wright St.) with 19 points and 5 assists and the other American import guard Lance Harris (195-84, college: Kansas St.) scored 11 points.
