Regular Season Round 19: Gussing - Oberwart 73-82

Gussing Knights (#4) were upset in Gussing by seventh ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart 82-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gussing Knights. Gussing Knights were ahead by 10 points at the halftime before a 23-10 third quarter run of Redwell Gunners Oberwart. They made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Rakeem Buckles (201-90, college: FIU) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds. Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (189-92, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners. Redwell Gunners Oberwart's coach Erik Braal allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Marcus Heard (201-84, college: De Paul) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and the other American import forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Gussing Knights. Four Gussing Knights players scored in double figures. Redwell Gunners Oberwart maintains seventh place with 9-10 record, which they share with Arkadia. Defending champion Gussing Knights dropped to the third position with seven games lost. Redwell Gunners Oberwart's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked UBSC Graz (#10) at home. Gussing Knights will play against Raiffeisen Wels (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
