Very expected game when 11th ranked TED Kolejliler (6-9) lost to seventh ranked Galatasaray (8-7) in Ankara 67-75 on Sunday. TED Kolejliler was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 24-14 charge of Galatasaray, which allowed them to win the game. Galatasaray outrebounded TED Kolejliler 37-25 including 23 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Serbian Zoran Erceg (210-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. American center Patric Young (206-92, college: Florida) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American guard Clay Tucker (196-80, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) answered with 18 points and American-FYR Macedonian point guard Marques Green (165-82, college: St.Bonaventure) added 14 points and 5 assists in the effort for TED Kolejliler. Four TED Kolejliler players scored in double figures. TED Kolejliler's coach Burak Goren rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Galatasaray maintains seventh place with 8-7 record. Loser TED Kolejliler keeps the eleventh position with nine games lost. Galatasaray will face Usak (#13) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
