Regular Season Round 18: Licher Baeren - Weissenhorn 71-95

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Licher Basket (6-11) was outplayed at home by second ranked Weissenhorn Youngstars (12-5) 95-71. Weissenhorn Youngstars shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Licher Basket's players. It was a good game for Canadian guard Jordan Baker (201-91, college: Alberta) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Randal Holt (185-91, college: Kent St.) contributed with 18 points and 6 assists for the winners. American swingman Elijah Allen (195-89, college: NW Missouri St.) replied with 14 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Daniel Dorr (202-83) added 9 points in the effort for Licher Basket. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Weissenhorn Youngstars maintains second position in Group South with 12-5 record having just three points less than leader Iserlohn. Licher Basket at the other side keeps the ninth place with 11 games lost. Weissenhorn Youngstars' next round opponent will be BG Karlsruhe (#5) at home. Licher Basket will play against TV Langen (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
