Regular Season Round 19: Hertener Loewen - Seawolves 69-81

Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Hertener Loewen (7-12) was defeated at home by first ranked Seawolves (13-7) 81-69 on Saturday. Seawolves made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Hertener Loewen turnovers. Hertener Loewen was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. DR Congolese-Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Jarrell Crayton (200-90, college: Mont.St.-Billings) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. American Connell Crossland (201-91, college: TCU) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import point guard Deshaun Cooper (173-91, college: NW Missouri St.) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hertener Loewen's coach Majdi Shaladi tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted Seawolves maintains first place in Group North with 13-7 record. Hertener Loewen lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Seawolves will face Magdeburg (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hertener Loewen will play against DRUFF! (#9) in Braunschweig and hope to win that game.
