No shocking result in a game in Giresun where fourth ranked Balikesir (15-7) defeated 9th ranked Yesilgiresun (11-11) 80-70. It looked good early as Yesilgiresun took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Balikesir had a 21-12 second period charge getting the lead and Yesilgiresun was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 70-80. Balikesir made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Yesilgiresun helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Alan Wiggins (206-85, college: USF) notched 21 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Aubrey Coleman (193-87, college: Houston) supported him with 23 points and 5 rebounds. Even 22 points and 7 rebounds by American guard Ramel Bradley (188-85, college: Kentucky) did not help to save the game for Yesilgiresun.
