Regular Season Round 23: Brose Bask. - Braunschweig 77-57

BBL top team - Brose Baskets (20-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Braunschweig (11-12) in Bamberg 77-57. Brose Baskets shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Ryan Thompson (198-89, college: Rider) who scored 23 points. American-Nigerian power forward Trevor Mbakwe (207-89, college: Minnesota) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Brose Baskets players scored in double figures. Brose Baskets' coach Andrea Trinchieri used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Tim Abromaitis (203-89, college: Notre Dame) produced 26 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Immanuel McElroy (194-80, college: Cincinnati) added 7 points respectively for the guests. Brose Baskets have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-3 record. Braunschweig at the other side keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. Brose Baskets' next round opponent will be league's second-placed ALBA Berlin on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Braunschweig will play against Telekom Baskets (#4) and hope to win that game.
