Tenth-ranked SC Rasta Vechta (12-18) gave a tough game to eighth ranked ETB Wohnbau (16-14) in Essen. ETB Wohnbau managed to secure only three-point victory 72-69. However their fans expected easier game. ETB Wohnbau made 22-of-24 charity shots (91.7 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by SC Rasta Vechta helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American point guard Chris Alexander (186-83, college: Southern) who led his team to a victory with 27 points (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). Center Christoph Hackenesch (204-86) contributed with 7 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Dennis Tinnon (203-88, college: Marshall) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 20 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Derek Wright (179-86, college: Austin Peay St.) added 11 points and 5 assists in the effort for SC Rasta Vechta. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. ETB Wohnbau moved-up to seventh place. SC Rasta Vechta lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 18 games lost.
