Bottom-ranked Crailsheim Merlins managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the series of four consecutive loses. This time they won against eighth-ranked BG Goettingen 93-89. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of BG Goettingen. The guests were ahead by 8 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 19-18 run, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 9-5. Crailsheim Merlins made 25-of-33 charity shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. BG Goettingen was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Swingman Sean Mosley (192-89, college: Maryland) stepped up and scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and center Chris Otule (211-90, college: Marquette) chipped in 11 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Alex Ruoff (198-86, college: W.Virginia, agency: Inception Sports) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Harper Kamp (203-88, college: California) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Five Crailsheim Merlins and four BG Goettingen players scored in double figures. BG Goettingen's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Crailsheim Merlins (6-23) moved-up to seventeenth place. BG Goettingen at the other side keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Ludwigsburg. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
