Regular Season Round 41: Juventus - Neptunas 77-71

The game between third ranked Neptunas (30-9) and fifth ranked Juventus (23-15) was the most important one in the last round on Tuesday night. Neptunas was defeated by Juventus in a tough game in Utena 71-77. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 38-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Juventus especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. 25 personal fouls committed by Neptunas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American-Samoan point guard Rashaun Broadus (180-84, college: BYU, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 18 points and 4 assists for the winners and international power forward Egidijus Dimsa (204-85) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Juventus moved-up to fourth place, which they share with P.Zvaigzdes. Neptunas at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Juventus is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Mazeikiai (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Neptunas will play against P.Zvaigzdes (#4) in Pasvalys and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
