Dragons Rhoendorf was not able to use a home court advantage and was crushed by the opponent from Kirchheim 85-59 on Saturday night. Kirchheim Knights forced 28 Dragons Rhoendorf turnovers. American point guard Richard Williams (177-87, college: San Diego St.) fired 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. British forward Keith Rendleman (203-90, college: NC-Wilmington) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Kirchheim Knights players scored in double figures. British power forward Will Ohuaregbe (203-88, college: NC-Wilmington) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Viktor Frankl-Maus (186-93) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kirchheim Knights will face BV Chemnitz 99 at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dragons Rhoendorf will play against SC Rasta Vechta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
