Licher Basket used a home court advantage and outplayed the opponent from Frankfurt 80-37 on Saturday night. Licher Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Fraport Skyliners II's 18. Licher Basket forced 31 Fraport Skyliners II turnovers. American swingman Elijah Allen (195-89, college: NW Missouri St.) stepped up and scored 21 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals for the winners and center Marian Schick (204-86) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Licher Basket's coach Joan Rallo-Fernandez felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side Konstantin Schubert (195-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and Lukas Beuschlein (189-95) scored 5 points and 7 rebounds. Licher Basket will face Giants in Noerdlingen in the next round. Fraport Skyliners II will play at home against USC Leipzig and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
