The game was mostly controlled by Lietuvos rytas. Dzukija managed to win fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Dzukija 39-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. International swingman Gediminas Orelikas (199-90) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international Adas Juskevicius (194-89) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Forward Nerijus Varnelis (201-78) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Markus Monroe (188-89, college: Wayland Baptist, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Lietuvos rytas will meet Lietkabelis in the next round where they are favorite. Dzukija will play against Neptunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
