Regular Season Round 2: Schwelm - Bochum 88-83

No shocking result in a game when SG Schwelmer Baskets (2-0) defeated at home AstroStars (0-2) 88-83 on Saturday. AstroStars were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American swingman Domonique Crawford (196-84, college: Youngstown St.) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Center Sebastian Schroter (207-83) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. American Ryon Howard (198-84, college: Sacred Heart) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Felix Engel (191-91) added 17 points and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Four AstroStars players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. SG Schwelmer Baskets will face Artland Dragons in Quakenbrueck in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. AstroStars will play at home against Hertener Loewen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
