BC Timisoara was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Sibiu 61-53 on Saturday night. BC Timisoara was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 23-13 charge of CSU Sibiu, which allowed them to win the game. International point guard Octavian Calota (186-84) fired 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Canadian guard Marek Klassen (185-92, college: Point Loma) chipped in 8 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Bahamas forward Kentwan Smith (203-91, college: Stetson) produced 14 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian power forward Dalibor Djapa (205-84, agency: 011 Sports) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. BC Timisoara's coach Dragan Petricevic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. CSU Sibiu will face Steaua CSM in Bucuresti in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BC Timisoara will play on the road against Oradea and hope to win that game.
