Stiinta sealed the championship with a 98-76 victory over CS Agronomia Bucuresti in the tournament's final game, capping a campaign that bordered on perfection. The clincher swung on a stunning second quarter after trailing 16-13 after the first period, coach T. Paralikas' side erupted for 37 points in the second quarter to seize a 50-33 halftime lead and never looked back, building a margin that peaked at 27 points.
Vladyslav Mustiatsa (196-F-2002) led the rout with 27 points on 10-of-19 shooting (9-of-15 from two), seven rebounds, and three assists for a game-high 26 efficiency. Artem Lopukhov (206-PF-2002) posted a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds (5-of-8 from two, 5-of-6 FT) for 22 efficiency, while captain David Orbulescu-Matesescu (186-G-2006, agency: One Motive Sports) added 13 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Stiinta's transition game was devastating 33 fast-break points, 24 off turnovers, and 54 in the paint, while controlling the glass 57-38.
For Agronomia, Robert Spoitoru (2005) top-scored with 20 points but shot just 7-of-18, while Sebastian Tanase (206-C-2004) posted 11 points and 10 rebounds. Radu Voinescu (182-PG-2000, agency: BIG) added 13 off the bench and David Fometescu (182-G-2008) had 12 with six assists (8-of-9 FT). But the hosts shot 36 percent from the field and committed 19 turnovers against Stiinta's relentless pressure.
The Bucharest side had dominated the Promotion Tournament from the opening day, thrashing ABC Leii Bucuresti 104-50 before dispatching CS Universitar Targoviste 103-61 to set up the title-clinching showdown with Agronomia. Across the entire season, Stiinta produced a near-perfect run finishing the first phase unbeaten and topping the standings heading into the decisive tournament.
The 2025-26 BCR Liga 1 featured 23 teams at the start, including eight satellite sides from clubs in the top-flight Liga Nationala. The top two finishers in the Promotion Tournament earned the right to compete in the Liga Nationala for 2026-27 meaning both Stiinta and runners-up Agronomia move up to Romania's elite division next season.
