Regular Season Round 3: Art.Dragons - Schwelm 72-62

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of SG Schwelmer Baskets (2-1) in Quakenbrueck on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Artland Dragons (3-0) 72-62. It was a good game for Isaiah Hartenstein (208-98) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Jacob Mampuya (200-94, college: High School) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Guard Mathias Perl (188-89) answered with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Croatian point guard Zeljko Novak (184-89) added 7 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for SG Schwelmer Baskets. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Artland Dragons are looking forward to face Recklinghausen (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. SG Schwelmer Baskets will play against Oldenburg (#9) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
