Regular Season Round 4: Vechta - Kirchheim 74-84

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 7th ranked SC Rasta Vechta (2-2) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Kirchheim Knights (2-2) 84-74 on Saturday. SC Rasta Vechta was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Richard Williams (177-87, college: San Diego St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and forward Tim Koch (196-89) who added 23 points during the contest. At the losing side American guard Chase Griffin (188-83, college: Pepperdine) responded with 23 points and his fellow American import point guard Carlos Medlock (183-87, college: E.Michigan) scored 13 points and 9 assists. Four SC Rasta Vechta players scored in double figures. SC Rasta Vechta's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Kirchheim Knights moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated SC Rasta Vechta. Kirchheim Knights will face bottom-ranked White Wings (#16) in Hanau in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
