Regular Season Round 4: ALBA - Braunschweig 83-72

BBL top team - ALBA Berlin (5-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat tenth ranked Braunschweig (1-3) 83-72. The game was mostly controlled by ALBA Berlin. Braunschweig managed to win fourth quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ALBA Berlin looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Serbian guard Dragan Milosavljevic (198-89) fired 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Croatian forward Kresimir Loncar (210-83, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four ALBA Berlin players scored in double figures. American Keaton Grant (193-86, college: Purdue) produced 22 points and 5 steals and his fellow American import point guard Derek Needham (180-90, college: Fairfield) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ALBA Berlin have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record. Braunschweig at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with three games lost. They share the position with 5 other teams. ALBA Berlin will meet Giessen 46ers (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Braunschweig will play against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
