Chernomorets was not able to use a home court advantage and was smashed by the opponent from Sofia 97-58 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Levski 2014 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Chernomorets' 36. They outrebounded Chernomorets 45-22 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Tyler Laser (185-88, college: E.Illinois) orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Hristo Nikolov (200-85, agency: 011 Sports) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Levski 2014 players scored in double figures. Forward Konstantin Koev (196-91) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian center Dejan Bjelic (209-90) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Chernomorets. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Levski 2014 will face Cherno More in Varna in the next round. Chernomorets will play on the road against Academik Plovdiv and hope to win that game.
