Rather expected game in Noerdlingen where 5th ranked Giants (2-2) were defeated by top-ranked BG Karlsruhe (4-0) 74-59 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Jeremy Black (203-85, college: Tampa, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and Rouven Roessler (198-80) who added 19 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. BG Karlsruhe's coach Nenad Josipovic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American forward Jordan Talbert (198-91, college: Missouri So.) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and his fellow American import guard Brandon Lockhart (185-90, college: Drury) scored 14 points and 6 assists. BG Karlsruhe have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of South leader. Newly promoted Giants dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. BG Karlsruhe will face Weissenhorn Youngstars (#5) at home in the next round. Giants will play against USC Leipzig and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
