Regular Season Round 5: Neuss - Hannover 72-85

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of TG Neuss (4-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Hannover (4-0) 85-72. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of TG Neuss. It was a key game for the top position in North. The game was mostly controlled by Hannover. TG Neuss managed to win second period 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Marquita Waller (180-88, college: VCU) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Canadian guard Karly Roser (178-93, college: Northwestern) added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for TG Neuss. Hannover have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of North leader. TG Neuss at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. Hannover are looking forward to face Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (#4) at home in the next round. TG Neuss will play against Barmer TV in Wuppertal and are hoping to win this game.
