Regular Season Round 6: Licher Baeren - Karlsruhe 83-92

ProB top team - BG Karlsruhe (6-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat tenth ranked Licher Basket (1-5) 92-83. BG Karlsruhe dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Licher Basket's 26 and made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American center Jeremy Black (203-85, college: Tampa, agency: Court Side) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import guard Hayden Lescault (196-92, college: Point Loma) chipped in 25 points. Five BG Karlsruhe players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Konstantin Kovalev (203-95) who recorded 9 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Spanish point guard Nil Angelats (185-93) added 13 points and 8 assists respectively. Licher Basket's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. BG Karlsruhe have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position in South with 6-0 record. Licher Basket lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with five games lost. BG Karlsruhe's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Ehingen/Urspringschule in Allmendingen and it will be for sure the game of the week. Licher Basket will play on the road against Elchingen (#3) and hope to win that game.
