Regular Season Round 8: Vytautas - Dzukija 89-59
Date: October 31, 2015
The game with biggest result difference took place in Prienai. Local Vytautas (6-1) outscored 10th ranked Dzukija (1-6) 89-59. The game without a history. Vytautas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Vytautas forced 28 Dzukija turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The winners were led by forward Laimonas Kisielius (203-85, college: William & Mary) who scored that evening 17 points and 6 assists and forward Gytis Sirutavicius (195-83) supported him with 14 points and 4 assists. Even 12 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) by Polish center Adam Lapeta (217-87, agency: Alti Sport) did not help to save the game for Dzukija. Laurynas Mikalauskas (205-85, college: Virginia) added 9 points for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Vytautas have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Lietuvos rytas. Dzukija lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Vytautas' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Lietuvos rytas in Vilnius and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dzukija will play at home against P.Zvaigzdes (#7) and hope to win that game.
