Regular Season Round 6: Noerdlingen - Elchingen 69-75

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Elchingen (5-1) beat 8th ranked Giants (2-4) in Noerdlingen 75-69 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Elchingen especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. It was a good game for forward Brian Butler (194-91, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Justin Martin (198-90, college: SMU) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Jordan Talbert (198-91, college: Missouri So.) replied with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Croatian guard Leo Vrkas (190-91, college: Carson-Newman) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Giants. Four Giants players scored in double figures. Elchingen have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in South, which they share with Ehingen. Giants lost fourth consecutive game. Giants at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the eighth position with four games lost. Elchingen will face Licher Basket (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Giants will play against Wuerzburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
