Regular Season Round 6: Wolfenbuettel - Rist Wedel 76-52

Date: November 1, 2015
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (4-2) crushed at home 9th ranked SC Rist Wedel (2-4) 76-52 on Sunday. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel forced 23 SC Rist Wedel turnovers. It was a good game for American guard Demetrius Ward (188-90, college: W.Michigan) who led his team to a victory with 5 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Robin Amaize (188-94) contributed with 10 points for the winners. Ward is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American center Michael Bradley (208-92, college: Samford) replied with 9 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Helge Baues (205-94, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for SC Rist Wedel. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel moved-up to second place in North, which they share with Iserlohn and Rostock. SC Rist Wedel lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with four games lost. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel will face league's leader Artland Dragons in Quakenbrueck in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SC Rist Wedel will play at home against SG Schwelmer Baskets (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
