The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Artland Dragons (5-1) on the court of eighth ranked Oldenburg on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Oldenburg 64-54. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Artland Dragons. Oldenburg shot 23 for 37 from the free-throw line, while Artland Dragons only scored three points from the stripe. 29 personal fouls committed by Artland Dragons helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American guard Chris Gorman (180-93, college: Vanguard) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Dominic Lockhart (198-94) contributed with 12 points and 5 assists for the winners. Isaiah Hartenstein (208-98) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and forward Benjamin Fumey (203-87, college: Valparaiso) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Artland Dragons. Oldenburg (3-3) moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with 3 other teams. Artland Dragons at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. Oldenburg is looking forward to face Itzehoe (#8) on the road in the next round. Artland Dragons will play against the league's second-placed Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
