There was no surprise when 17th ranked BG Goettingen (1-6) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Phoenix Hagen (3-4) 94-84. It looked good early as BG Goettingen took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Phoenix Hagen had a 32-15 second period charge getting the lead and BG Goettingen was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 84-94. Phoenix Hagen made 29-of-33 charity shots (87.9 percent) during the game, while BG Goettingen only scored twelve points from the stripe. Phoenix Hagen had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds.
