The game in Baunach was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked SC Rasta Vechta (6-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Baunach (4-4). SC Rasta Vechta did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 76-59 on Friday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-59. SC Rasta Vechta outrebounded Baunach 47-27 including a 47-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was naturalized Filipino forward Christian Standhardinger (203-89, college: Hawaii) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds. American point guard Carlos Medlock (183-87, college: E.Michigan) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists. point guard Daniel Schmidt (186-90) produced 15 points and 4 assists and guard Dino Dizdarevic (194-95) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SC Rasta Vechta have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Gotha. Loser Baunach keeps the seventh position with four games lost. SC Rasta Vechta will face league's second-placed Oettinger Rockets Gotha on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Baunach will play against Finke Baskets (#11) in Paderborn and hope to win that game.
