The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Hertener Loewen's (3-4) road loss to fourth ranked Iserlohn (5-2) 75-84 on Saturday. Hertener Loewen was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American forward Jerry Brown Jr. (201-91, college: Santa Clara) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Guard Jonas Grof (201-96, college: High School) helped adding 11 points and 8 rebounds. Iserlohn's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American guard Deandre Lansdowne (187-89, college: Fort Lewis) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Eric Curth (193-92) scored 19 points. They have a solid series of three victories in a row. Iserlohn keeps a position of North leader, which they share with Wolfenbuettel and Art.Dragons. Loser Hertener Loewen dropped to the seventh place with four games lost. Iserlohn will face Rostock (#4) at home in the next round. Hertener Loewen will play against Oldenburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
