Regular Season Round 7: Rostock - Bochum 66-69

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Rostock (4-3) against eleventh ranked AstroStars (3-4) on Saturday night. Host Rostock was edged by AstroStars in a tough game in Rostock 66-69. It was an exceptional evening for American Ryon Howard (198-84, college: Sacred Heart) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 20 rebounds. Center Michael Haucke (210-85) accounted for 12 points for the winning side. Naturalized Spanish center Daniel Lopez (206-86) came up with 16 points and naturalized American Andres Murillo (201-90, college: Biola, CA, agency: Octagon Europe) added 6 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Rostock in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. AstroStars moved-up to seventh place in North, which they share with 3 other teams. Rostock at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Schwelm and Itzehoe. AstroStars will play against league's second-placed Artland Dragons in Quakenbrueck in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rostock will play on the road against Iserlohn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
