Regular Season Round 8: Chemnitz - Marburg 48-79

Date: November 7, 2015
No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked BC Pharmaserv Marburg (5-3) smashed on the road 10th ranked ChemCats Chemnitz (1-7) 79-48. The game without a history. BC Pharmaserv Marburg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ChemCats Chemnitz to just 6 points in third quarter. It was a great shooting night for BC Pharmaserv Marburg especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. The winners were led by American guard Katie Yohn (182, college: Bradley) who scored that evening 21 points and international forward Finja Schaake (179-92) supported her with 17 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Even 17 points by Bosnian forward Lejla Bejtic (174-85) did not help to save the game for ChemCats Chemnitz. American forward Madi Buck (183, college: N.Dakota) added 6 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. ChemCats Chemnitz's coach already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. BC Pharmaserv Marburg moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Halle. ChemCats Chemnitz at the other side keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. BC Pharmaserv Marburg's next round opponent will be league's second-placed TSV 1880 Wasserburg at home and it may be quite challenging game.
