Date: November 14, 2015
Rather predictable result when eleventh ranked Giessen 46ers (4-4) outscored at home 15th ranked ratiopharm Ulm (2-7) 91-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Giessen 46ers. ratiopharm Ulm was better in third quarter 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Giessen 46ers looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized Cuban swingman Yorman Polas (192-85) who scored 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). American guard Braydon Hobbs (196-89, college: Bellarmine) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Giessen 46ers players scored in double figures. They moved-up to ninth place. ratiopharm Ulm lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with seven games lost. Giessen 46ers will face Braunschweig (#10) in Braunschweig in the next round. ratiopharm Ulm will play at home against BG Goettingen (#17) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
