Regular Season Round 8: Horsholm - Svendborg 75-70

Another exciting game for Horsholm (2-6) which hosted one of their biggest challengers Svendborg (4-4). Eighth ranked Horsholm won 75-70. The hosts were ahead by 6 points but lost the second period ending it with a 6-point deficit before their 26-15 run, which allowed them to win the game. Horsholm outrebounded Svendborg 39-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Evan Yates (198-91, college: Ashland) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 18 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and the former international point guard Frederik Nielsen (180-88) who added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Yates is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Horsholm players scored in double figures. American guard Brandon Rozzell (188-89, college: VCU) responded with 21 points and Argentinian-Italian point guard Antonio Porta (187-83, agency: Players Group) scored 19 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Horsholm moved-up to fifth place. Svendborg at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Horsholm will play against Randers (#6) at home in the next round. Svendborg will play against Naestved and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
