Regular Season Round 9: Licher Baeren - Wuerzburg 71-75

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when tenth ranked Wuerzburg (3-6) defeated on the road 9th ranked Licher Basket (3-6) 75-71 on Saturday. It was a good game for forward Felix Hoffmann (195-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Maximilian Ugrai (202-95) contributed with 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Lamar Mallory (198-90, college: Glenville St., agency: Warren Sports International) answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import swingman Elijah Allen (195-89, college: NW Missouri St.) added 10 points and 4 steals in the effort for Licher Basket. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Wuerzburg moved-up to ninth place in South, which they share with Licher Baeren. Wuerzburg will face higher ranked Fraport Skyliners II (#6) in Frankfurt in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
