Important game to mention about took place in Mykolaiv. Fifth ranked Mykolaiv (5-3) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 7th ranked Infiz Basket (2-6) 66-63 on Saturday evening. It looked good early as Infiz Basket took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Mykolaiv had a 21-13 second period charge getting the lead and Infiz Basket was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-66. Mykolaiv dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Infiz Basket's 26. They outrebounded Infiz Basket 56-37 including 22 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for forward Oleksandr Tsikaliuk (204-93) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Illya Zhukovskiy (198-93) accounted for 10 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side. point guard Andriy Lebedintsev (184-91) came up with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and swingman Anton Musiyenko (191-97) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Infiz Basket in the defeat. Mykolaiv moved-up to fourth place. Infiz Basket lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with six games lost.
