Regular Season Round 9: Dresden - Weissenhorn 65-79

ProB round 9 most important game was a victory of Weissenhorn Youngstars over 6th ranked Titans 79-65 on Sunday night. Weissenhorn Youngstars made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Titans helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for power forward Nils Mittmann (201-79) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard Christopher Anderson (170-92, college: San Diego) contributed with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Weissenhorn Youngstars' coach Daniel Jansson used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Walter Simon (202-89, college: Cumberland) answered with 22 points and 5 rebounds and American power forward David Sturner (206-90, college: S.Oregon) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Titans. Weissenhorn Youngstars (5-4) moved-up to fourth place in South, which they share with Elchingen and Fraport SKY II. Titans at the other side dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with Noerdlingen. Weissenhorn Youngstars is looking forward to face higher ranked USC Leipzig (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Titans will play against the league's second-placed BG Karlsruhe (#2) and are hoping to win this game.
