Regular Season Round 6: Crnomelj - Parklji 90-81

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Crnomelj and 5th ranked Parklji had identical 3-2 record. This time Crnomelj used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Bezigrad 90-81 on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 54-40 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Crnomelj looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Parklji helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for guard Crt Ristic (180-89) who led his team to a victory with 30 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Martin Mezan (197-93) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Crnomelj's coach Simon Petrov used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Matic Urbas (192-93) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and center Matija Radanovic (202-95) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Parklji. Four Parklji players scored in double figures. Crnomelj have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 4-2 record. Parklji at the other side keeps the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Grosuplje and Branik. Crnomelj are looking forward to face Celje (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Parklji will play against Plama Pur (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
