There was a change at the DBBL leadership position after last games. The most important game of round 10 took place in Wasserburg between two undefeated teams where TSV 1880 Wasserburg crushed Gruner Stern Keltern (9-1) 87-64 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Gruner Stern Keltern. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by TSV 1880 Wasserburg. Gruner Stern Keltern managed to win second period 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TSV 1880 Wasserburg made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Gruner Stern Keltern turnovers. Gruner Stern Keltern's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. TSV 1880 Wasserburg (10-0) have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion (10-0) keeps a position of league leader. Newly promoted Gruner Stern Keltern dropped to the second place with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Wasserburg. Gruner Stern Keltern will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. TSV 1880 Wasserburg will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked SV Halle Lions on the road.
