Regular Season Round 11: Steaua CSM - BC Timisoara 85-64

No shocking result in a game in Bucuresti where fourth ranked Steaua CSM (7-2) smashed 11th ranked BC Timisoara (1-10) 85-64 on Saturday. The game without a history. Steaua CSM led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for Serbian point guard Aleksandar Rasic (195-84, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Serbian point guard Marko Marinovic (183-83) helped adding 13 points and 7 assists. Coach Hristu Sapera's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Serbian power forward Dalibor Djapa (205-84, agency: 011 Sports) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Bahamas forward Kentwan Smith (203-91, college: Stetson) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. Steaua CSM moved-up to second place. BC Timisoara lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Gaz Metan. Steaua CSM will meet league's leader Oradea on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BC Timisoara will play against CSU Sibiu (#4) and hope to win that game.
