There was no surprise when 7th ranked Eskisehir Basket (8-8) lost on the road to fourth ranked Gediz (12-4) 73-58 on Friday. The game without a history. Gediz led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Eskisehir Basket to just 7 points in first quarter. The winners were led by American point guard Demontez Stitt (187-89, college: Clemson, agency: HMS) who scored that evening 27 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Bosnian-Slovenian center Hasan Rizvic (212-84) supported him with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Even 16 points by point guard Firat Toz (187-91) did not help to save the game for Eskisehir Basket. American point guard Leemire Goldwire (184-85, college: Charlotte, agency: HMS) added 11 points for lost side. Eskisehir Basket's coach Metin Agirbasoglu tested eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gediz have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Denizli. Eskisehir Basket lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Pertevniyal and Gelisim. Gediz will meet Mamak DSI (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Eskisehir Basket will play against Sakarya BSB and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
