Regular Season Round 13: Infiz Basket - Bipa Basket 71-82

Very expected game in Kyiv where 9th ranked Infiz Basket (2-16) was defeated by fifth ranked Bipa Basket (9-10) 82-71 on Saturday. The game without a history. Bipa Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Infiz Basket's 32. They outrebounded Infiz Basket 39-27 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international center Stanislav Balashov (210-79) fired 25 points and 4 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Chris Carter (196-92, college: Florida Tech, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Bipa Basket players scored in double figures. Bipa Basket's coach Vadim Pudzyrei used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international power forward Artem Shvets (202-85) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Andriy Lebedintsev (184-91) added 23 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Bipa Basket maintains fifth place with 9-10 record. Infiz Basket lost their thirteenth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Bipa Basket will meet higher ranked SC Kryvbas (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Infiz Basket's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kyiv to the arena Dynamo.
